Not many people know how to use the Technical Tab in a torrent this tutorial will help you:
1 On the torrents main page you will see the image below:

Click the Brown Tab marked as Technical and you will be re-directed to another page showing the following image:
image
This image above shows the trackers and seed count. Please take note of the checked date. It tells you when the trackers were last checked.
On the same image above notice the brown button stating Refresh as seen here:
image
Press the button as shown above and this will show the true number of seeds and peers:

NOTE: Some older torrents will state outdated these need to be Refreshed to see if said torrent has seeds. With this trick you will have better luck finding seeded torrents.
Enjoy!

Doesn't seem to work that well could anyone suggest the best trackers to add?
Maybe i included to many not really use to using public sites like this.

The most important ones _at this moment_ are these:
udp://tracker.ccc.de:80/announce
udp://tracker.istole.it:80/announce
Openbittorrent and PublicBT trackers are out for me since several days. Remember that massive trackers will always be on fire by MAFIAA. A lot of public trackers come and go, so stay updated (e.g. look here for updates: http://openbittorrent.com/)
Would be nice to have a way to add trackers, even for people that didn't upload the specific torrent.
I know a few who appear dead (0 seeds), but who just have their seeds on another tracker...

On some torrents that I have downloaded there have been 2 identical trackers, this hasn't upset the download at all but I've often wonder if it makes any difference to the speed?
Has anybody else noticed this or have an answer?biggrin

Bandit, I was told that if you have duplicate trackers it can slow down the download, so I delete one of them, also if trackers are offline or timed out delete them as well to speed up your downloadbiggrin

You can also download the .torrent-file to desktop and browse to Torrent Editor, select the file from desktop for editing. The website will then serve all info about the torrent like trackers/seeds/leech/outdated etc. Good for cutting the cr*p, so to speak, and maybe add the most common trackers should those not already be there. After you add a tracker, it will look if that tracker has seed/leech for the torrent. After you are all done editing, save the edited .torrent-file back to desktop and add it to torrent-client.

(This can be done when you dont want to add torrent-files without knowing whats actually in it, even if the principle is about the same. Don’t edit anything that will change hash or its all for nothing).

Tracker-suggestion (that is autoadded by large sites):
udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80
udp://tracker.publicbt.com:80
udp://tracker.ccc.de:80
udp://tracker.istole.it:80

Enable dht + pex and go trackerless as well.
