Thought i'd make a thread for people who are posting a torrent for the first time this way we can keep them all in one place.. So people can see your torrent and choose to help you

and if you need help seeding your first torrent post here as well.

(So after you create your first torrent feel free to promote it here)

I believe the reason a new torrent does not show that it is being seeded is because you must first check in your uTorrent client window to make certain your torrent is not in a Queued Seed status before you upload it to KAT. If it is in a "queued" status, it's not actually seeding. You can "right click" on the "Status" column "Queued Seed" in your uTorrent client window, and change that status to "Force Start" - and your torrent will immediately begin to seed. AFTER you do that, THEN upload your torrent to KAT and it should reflect that you are seeding it. You can then check your torrent in KAT and click on the LOCATION tab (top right side of your torrent description webpage), and update your "Locations" - which should then show all the tracker websites which have started seeding your torrent also. Hope this helps.

I happened to have had started Bittorrent when I uploaded so it was queueing when I was uploading it and now it has zilch seeders even though my client now says it's seeding...or like any other torrent site (TPB and Demonoid come to mind) do I need to wait a while for me to show up as a seed. (as KAT doesn't really fully delete a torrent and just sort of hides it)

Yes it has no seeds on it's page...even though the torrent in the client itself says seeding.

this is what i`m seeing... it`s handy to send meta files here http://torrent-stats.info/ and then add the image to your description.
.
i`m not sure what trackers your using i always post an updated tracker list here for members https://kat.ph/community/show/30924/ i would`nt recommend using a UDP tracker as first tracker always use a HTTP tracker in position one.

I think i must have put a HTTP tracker in position one, but I'm not sure. I may need to recreate the torrent in the client again and make sure an HTTP tracker in the first slot. :/

Reuploaded the file from a different location...it's really interesting, even though I added a '- Copy' to the end of it the client still sees it as the same file...and it now shows 1 peer on torrent-stats.info and still no seeds.

I'm at a loss here should I just sit aside and wait for a couple of hours for it to see me as a seed?

This time I put a http tracker in the first slot of the file, just letting you know. :D (the edit function is so obscure here I didn't even notice it until I really looked for it.)

These are the trackers I put in the file and the order they're in:
http://exodus.desync.com/announce

http://fr33dom.h33t.com:3310/announce

http://exodus.desync.com:6969/announce

udp://fr33domtracker.h33t.com:3310/announce

udp://tracker.1337x.org:80/announce

udp://tracker.publicbt.com:80/announce
