Has water entered your ship?

In 1923, eight of the wealthiest people in the world met.
Their combined wealth, it is estimated, exceeded the wealth of the
government of the United States at that time.
These men certainly knew how to make a living and accumulate wealth.
But let’s examine what happened to them 25 years later.
1. President of the largest steel company, Charies Schwab, lived
on borrowed capital for five years before he died bankrupt.
2. President of the largest gas company, Howard Hubson, went insane.
3. One of the greatest commodity traders, Arthur Cutton, died insolvent.
4. President of the New York Stock Exchange, Richard Whitney, was
sent to jail.
5. A member of the President’s Cabinet, Albert Fall, was pardoned
from jail to go home and die in peace.
6. The greatest “bear” on Wall Street, Jessie Livermore, committed suicide.
7. President of the world’s greatest monopoly, Ivar Krueger,
committed suicide.
8. President of the Bank of International Settlement, Leon
Fraser, Committed Suicide.
What they forgot was how to make life! Money in itself is not evil!
Money provides food for the hungry, medicine for the sick, clothes for
the needy; Money is only a medium of exchange.
We need two kinds of education.
.....a) One that teaches us how to make a living and
......b) one that teaches us how to live.
There are people who are so engrossed in their professional life that
they neglect their family, health and social responsibilities.
If asked why they do this they would reply that they were doing it for their family.
Our kids are sleeping when we leave home.
They are sleeping when we come home.
Twenty years later, we’ll turn back, and they’ll all be gone.

Without water, a ship cannot move.
The ship needs water, but if the water gets into the ship, the ship will face problems. What was once a means of living for the ship will now become a means of destruction.
Similarly we live in time where earning is necessity but let not the earning enter our hearts, for what was once a means of living will become a means of destruction.

So take a moment and ask yourself……….
Has water entered my ship?

s**t, that's deep......
We know how to live......the problem as i see it is that everything from the roof over our heads to the clothes on our backs ad the very food we eat belong to someone unless we pay.
Food clothes and shelter the 3 basics should be available to all..... and not at a price to suit market percentages or return on an investment.
let the basics be available to all and then through work and earnings we can decide if we want to save for the latest ipod or samsung 3D TV. As far as i am concerned make a TV 20,000 USD but make my rent or cost for a home affordable. Make my meat and veggies affordable.
Check out the number of money programs on the TV and how to invest in wheat and corn......frigging madness in my opinion.
now THAT's something worth blogging of!
one of my personal creeds is:
money is like air, i need both to live but i dont live because i need them.

A very good message, albeit a longer version of "money doesn't create happiness". People should be in touch with their families, for death comes at anytime.

But... I'm not trying to troll or anything, but after google-ing a little of this I see it in a lot of places... copypasta?!?
Great blog, really makes you appreciate what you have :)
Yeah, we need money to live but we shouldn't live for money. We should be able to shut off the pressure we had daily n always be able to get a life.
When i saw the title of this post...thot it might be a joke.
But man this is one grt post.....has got me thinking and fortunately i am not destroyed atleast at the moment....lets hope i can keep it that way.....
I have actually witnessed the downside of trying to make a lot of money.
"suicides" or made to look that way. Ships also take on rats...
abandon ship, abandon ship.
on a second note, well said brother, well said.
All this talk about water has made me need to pee...
Someone negged the TROLL??? Isn't that illegal through international treaty?
