I can't wait to talk about 187. One of the best cards in a while.
Q:Were you surprised he took the bombs you hit him with? A:Not at all look at the size of his head, he's got a big mellon. I knew he could take it.

lmao!lolrofl
.
The part that got me in that interview was the "never give up speech"....I mean, really?!?facepalm
.
@ Championiest4388 you were right about using Sonnen as an example, it was just the first name that popped in my head when thinking TRT, but I totally agree, very bad example.
.
That being said, I still believe it should be allowed in cases where it is making the field even, but I can see what you are saying about fighters using it in micro amounts to cheat.
.
And like I said, I've been a Belfort fan since he came back on the TRT so I guess I am a little bias about it and him. loveliness

I just voted (tbh, I voted for 5 of the 6. loveliness), and I was really surprised at how many votes III got. It SHOULD have been the best of the prequels, it COULD have been the best of the six, but I thought it fell short in so many ways.
.
Don't get me wrong, I think they had the right idea, and the story seemed solid, but the dialogue was horrid and the acting by Hayden Christensen just totally ruined it for me. He, to me, was the Jar Jar of the 3rd episode and what could have been the greatest of the films, fell totally flat. I think I would have rather had Jim Carrey overacting as Anakin than whatever Hayden called what he did in that movie. Everytime he was on screen, my sphincter literally clenched because I knew that whatever he spouted would sound as though he were reading it for the first time. facepalm
.
I think you can still "hear" how pissed I am about it. lol.titter.
.
The only thing I really enjoyed from the Revenge of the Sith was the Palpatine/Yoda fight, which easily outclassed the Obi Wan/Anakin fight.
.
The best fight from the prequels for me, was the Darth Maul fight. Can't go wrong with a double ended light saber, and Maul was skilled! I am just sorry he died so soon.
.
The Dooku/Yoda fight from the Attack of the Clones was probably my favourite moment from that movie. It was such a surprise to see Yoda go from being a hobbled old...yoda...to jumping, flipping and springing around. It was entertaining for me!
.
I think I, like 99% of the fans, agree that Empire Strikes Back is the best of the series. It just combines everything you want from a movie, whether it is action, drama, suspense, a little light comedy, intrigue, betrayal, excellent dialogue and acting. It has its flaws, of course, but if I had to choose one of the six to watch only, it would be Empire.
.
Now, as to the new one (sorry for the length, but I just found the thread lol) I don't know how many spoilers/theories you guys have heard, but I will give my two cents on what I have heard. And I apologize in advance if I don't give credit as to where I have heard them, because in all honesty, I can't really remember. chuckle.
.
The Force Awakens seems to be about some tremor in the force that is so strong that people previously unaware that they could access the force, feel it. Also, Luke is approaching Yoda like power with the force and he is afraid he will give in to temptation like his father so he secludes himself on some planet and only trains, I think the number was 7 jedi, since the victory on Endor.
.
Also the villains seem to be some race of Inquistors who apparently can sense people who can sense and use the force and was used by Palpatine to hunt down and destroy the Jedi. Apparently they have their own agenda.
.
It all sounds really good to me on paper, I only hope Abrams will do it justice. My real big fear is that they go too PC with it, as Disney has been known to do, and push too hard to make sure that there is a black x, asian x, female x, gay x, whatever happens to be the flavour of the month x, that everybody and their mother is represented so no one would feel excluded.facepalm Star Wars has always had, imho, a diverse cast. I don't think anyone could argue that Leia wasn't a strong lead, or Lando a great supporting character. And they did it without it impacting or becoming a central focus of the story, it just weaved right in seemlessly.
.
Long winded opinion over. I can't wait to see how Jar Jar has aged. tongue

Wow, talk about convicting someone based on their past. 0_0.
.
Testosterone levels are not the same in a person's body throughout the day, it fluctuates, and I imagine would fluctuate greater in athletes. It could have just been the timing of the test, you got Vitor at his highest point, maybe in the middle of a workout, and you got Weidman at his lowest, maybe he was watching Mean Girls and having a good cry.
.
Keep in mind it was still within the RULED limits.
.
And I will admit I became a Vitor fan when he came back on the TRT. He seemed like so much more of a confident fighter. And I am an advocate of TRT in cases like his and Sonnen where you are trying to fill in a deficit, not enhance.
.
I can only hope the confidence stays with him, in which case I will take him over Weidman. If not, Weidman has shown himself to be a really good study and he will destroy Belfort.
.
Point is, just because there is smoke, doesn't mean there is a fire. Give Vitor the benefit of the doubt.
I actually came to the Arrow AFTER watching the Flash. :D Still think the Flash is the better show, especially after this last episode (S1e23). Few plot holes aside, such good story telling and acting. Even Iris was tolerable this episode. So many touching moments, and a couple of good twists.
.
I know it doesn't stick verbatim to the comic book lore, but I really enjoy the stories, and I am kinda glad it took it upon itself to veer from the book lore. It doesn't always work out well, but I think for the Flash it has, at least through this first season.

(And) Brian Stann calling the fights.
I've come to really like Stann's no nonsense calls. He gives great expert commentary IMO.

I really enjoy Stann too. The few times he took over for Rogan, I actually enjoyed it, though I wouldn't trade Rogan and Goldie yet. :)
.
Fight Night 66 I thought was all right. Nothing really to write home about, but decent. I had forgotten it would have been such an early start (10am EST) here in Florida.
.
Are we going to have a pick 'em for 187? Imma take Belfort and Cormier. FTW! :D

The Main Event was stopped
lolpirate

Smart @$$! lol. lolchuckle
Major League and Down Periscope are my choices. They are funny and easy to watch or just have on in the background without thinking too much.
Never really was a Skye fan, but wow, just WOW! The scene where she goes in to rescue Lincoln was one of the best action scenes in the show, and that is definitely saying something!
.
And for once I have to say that the camera work was spot on and not trying to shift and hide punches and kicks, or look like they were filming the Blair Witch Project. ;)
.
I should have seen this episode before Ultron, the opening of Ultron makes a little more sense now.
.
And (yes, another "and" :D) I really like Ward as the is he/isn't he, a good guy. I liked him as a bad guy, but I like him even more as this kinda in between. Excellent role and I think suited to the actor's style.

Hmmm don't like the match up. Whatever happens, the fight won't be half as spectacular and quite possibly boring....

huffy Scr@w you Bones, you've let us all down dizzylol

Yeah, I thought Bones' ground game would be the deciding factor against Johnson. With Johnson and Cormier I expect more of a stand up slug fest. It might not be too bad to watch. It will definitely come down to who can get in the last power shot. I don't see it going the distance. If there was a pick 'em for this, I would probably say Cormier KO in 3...maybe 4.
